Friend Michael Burton, our guide Edison, and La Posada owner Marshia strike a pose worthy of the mighty Chimborazo.
The scale of this place is humbling. Can you find the bikers?

La Posada Gallery: Chimborazo Descent
In December, 2005, we descended from Camp Whymper, 5000 meters up Chimborazo, to Riobamba -- an unbelievable 52 km ride. Edison Baldeón of Biking Spirit in Riobamba led us down roads and little-known trails through el arenal, across the grasslands of the paramo and finally through indigenas villages on the forested lower slopes back to Riobamba.

I have mountain biked for 10 years in some of the most beautiful places in the world but I have never experienced anything like this ride.
